DAY 1 - PERTH

Koalas, Kangaroos and Bird life
This fun packed full day trip departs from Perth at 8.30am. The first stop is Yanchep National Park, where Explorers get to walk along the 240 metre Koala Boardwalk and get up close to Koalas sitting in the Eucalyptus Trees. Early in the morning you will often see the Western Grey Kangaroo grazing by the lake as an abundance of native birds perch in the woodland and wetlands. After an hour or so spent with these amazing Australian icons we jump back on the Explorer Bus and head north up the Indian Ocean Road to the small fishing town of Cervantes.

Lobster Factory and Lunch
Once in Cervantes, visit the Lobster Shack to take a first-hand look at the region's multi-million dollar lobster industry. The tour starts with a video presentation to find out how the Rock Lobster is caught, before heading into the factory to walk directly above the 20 tonnes of live Rock Lobsters, housed in the Lobster Shack. The tour comes with an audio guide in many different languages including English, Mandarin, Japanese, French, Italian, German and Korean, as well as a version for kids. Following the tour, sit down to a fish and chips lunch at the Lobster Shack, which is included in the price of the tour. Alternatively, upgrade to a lobster lunch or prawn bucket.

Pinnacles:
After lunch, take a short drive to the Nambung National Park for a close look at the Pinnacles. The park itself covers an area of 17,487 hectares and provides a natural habitat for an extensive range of animals and bird life. There is a modern discovery centre which houses fascinating interpretative displays with details of the Pinnacles themselves as well as the flora and fauna of the park. Aboard the Explor‧er Bus, take in the views of the Pinnacles on a scenic drive through the park before setting off on foot for an easy-paced walk through this eerie, yet fascinating land‧scape.

Sandboarding and Sand Dunes:
Back aboard the Explorer Bus, the tour heads south, to finish off the day in the adventure filled town of Lancelin. Here you can admire the extensive white sand dunes and try out Sandboarding using the sand boards provided, or simply enjoy the ocean views from the top of the dunes.

2) Best of Perth - Pinnalces and Swan Valley including Lunch (Departs: Mon, Wed, Fri & Sun).
This one day tour visits the Pinnacles, Lancelin sand dunes, Caversham Wildlife Park complete with lunch at a Swan Valley vineyard. Caversham Wildlife Park This fun packed full day trip departs from Perth at 8.30am and the first stop is Caversham Wildlife Park where Explorers get to feed Kangaroos and get up close to Koalas. You will also get to see a wide range of other animals, birds and marsupials that are native to Australia. After an hour or so spent with these amazing Australian icons we jump back on the Explorer bus and take a short drive to the beautiful Swan Valley. Swan Valley Vineyard The Swan Valley is well known for a wide range of internationally acclaimed vineyards, restaurants, cafes and art galleries. On this tour you will get a chance to visit one of the newest and best vineyards/breweries in the region and enjoy a lovely lunch with a glass of wine, beer or soft drink. Explorers choose their meal from a menu which has been certified as being suitable for customers requiring Halal meals. Amazing Pinnacles After lunch we take a drive up the Indian Ocean Road to the Nambung National Park for a close look at the Pinnacles. Here you can admire the extensive Lancelin sand dunes and for the more adventurous explorers perhaps try out Sandboarding using the sand boards provided (think Snowboarding but replace the snow with sand). Tour returns back to Perth at around 7.30pm having experienced some of the best activities that the region has to offer.

3) Discover Rottnest with Coach including Swan River Cruise and 90 minute Island Discover coach tour.
A Rottnest Express coach will pick you up from your hotel (SELECTED Hotels only) for your transfer to Pier 4 Elizabeth QuayPerth Barrack Street Jetty. 08:15am - Arrive at Barrack St Jetty Elizabeth Quay Perth ferry terminal. 08:30am - Board our Rottnest Express Ferry. 08:45am - Depart toward Rottnest Island (all Perth departures enjoy a fully commentated Swan River Cruise). 10:15am - Arrive and disembark at Rottnest Island. 11:00am - Commence boarding for your 90-minute Discover Coach Tour! Explore the beauty and tranquillity of Rottnest as you relax in the comfort of an air-conditioned coach. This 90-minute commentated tour of the island takes you to some of Rottnest's most spectacular locations and provides you with a complete interpretation of the island. We travel south from Perth driving through farmland with grazing cattle and passing by coastal towns. Arriving at Busselton, known as the gateway to the Margaret River region we stop for morning tea (own expense) to view the iconic Busselton Jetty. This is the longest timber jetty in the Southern Hemisphere (please note there is not enough time at this stop to walk the full length of the jetty). Driving into the heart of the region we head to one of Margaret River’s oldest breweries for a gourmet platter lunch of local produce, with complimentary beer and cider tastings. Following lunch we continue south through the forest to an internationally renowned winery to taste some of their best award winning wines, whilst gaining industry insights on wine production with the opportunity to purchase. Next it’s on to Mammoth Cave for a guided tour through this gothic cave with vast chambers that reveal fascinating information on the regions flora and fauna. Continuing south, through the Boranup Forest of enormous Karri Trees we reach the most fascinating part of the region at Augusta. Here at Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, marvel at the dividing point between the Southern and Indian Oceans, a rare phenomenon to view the meeting of two oceans. Then we head north up to the township of Margaret River for a brief stop to stroll the main street. After a long but fantastic day we break at a restaurant en route for a light dinner (own expense) then it’s back to Perth, arriving approximately at 9:30pm.

2) Wave Rock, York, Wildflowers (seasonal) & Aboriginal Culture (WR)Departs Tue, Wed, Fri & Sun
Join us on a journey through Western Australia’s wheat belt to Hyden – home of Wave Rock, truly one of Australia’s most incredible natural landforms. Leaving Perth we head through the Perth Hills and escarpment and enter farming country. Heading east we enjoy morning tea (own expense) at historic York, the first township founded in the Avon Valley. From there we travel the Wheatbelt Highway through the agricultural towns of Corrigin and Kondinin; through outback farming country – giving a glimpse of Australian country life. We then stop briefly at the infamous Dog Cemetery; a shrine to Man’s best friend and an integral part of farming life. Then visit Hippo’s Yawn, a rock formation which resembles a hippo yawning. We then break for an Aussie country style lunch at the Wildflower Shop. Then we move on to see the spectacular Wave Rock and sacred Aboriginal sites. Whilst here visit either a Wildlife Park, view a unique Antique Lace Collection – even featuring lace from Lady Diana, or visit the amazing Toy Soldier museum. Leaving Wave Rock we visit The Humps and finally Mulka’s Cave. We return to Perth with a stop at a remote country town for afternoon tea (own expense) arriving approximately at 8:30pm.

3) 4WD Sand Dune/ Sand Boarding / Koalas / Pinnacles (P3)Departs Daily
After stopping at Caversham Wildlife Park in the Swan Valley to view koalas, wombats and hand feed the kangaroos, we travel along quiet back roads, to the lobster fishing town of Cervantes. Once here, enjoy a behind the scenes factory tour on the processing of Western Australia Rock Lobster, followed by our included fish and chips lunch, or why not upgrade to half a grilled lobster (at extra cost). Then it’s onwards to the mystical Pinnacle Desert for an easy paced walk through the fascinating landscape, giving you the opportunity to really embrace this amazing and mystical place. The highlight of the tour involves 4-wheel driving over the vast sand dunes of Lancelin in custom built vehicles unique to ADAMS Pinnacle Tours. This is followed by the thrilling experience of downhill sandboarding over these constantly moving dunes. Return to Perth down the Indian Ocean drive arriving at approximately 7:30pm.

Travelling through the Swan Valley we arrive at New Norcia, home to Australia’s only Benedictine Abbey. A little piece of Spain comes alive in this town, full of history, art and architecture. Hear the local history before viewing the chapel and museum artefacts gifted to the monastery by Popes and Royalty of Spain. Visit the famous Benedictine Community with a guided tour of the town and main sites including the museum and art gallery where you will find extraordinary artefacts dating back to when New Norcia was an Aboriginal mission. Next we move on to the Abbey Church; home to one of only two large Moser organs, originally crafted in Germany, followed by a visit to St Gertrude’s College, a grand gothic style building which was originally built as a girl’s boarding school and opened in 1908. We then visit a produce shop selling olive oil, fruit, wine, New Norcia nut cake and breads before enjoying a fish and chips lunch and local breads and olive oil at the historic New Norcia Hotel. Then we head on to the Western Wildflower Farm for a brief talk about how wildflowers are dried and exported. We continue on for an easy paced walk through the mystical Pinnacle Desert and see the Pinnacles from the look out over the park. If time permits make a visit to the Pinnacle Desert Discovery Centre. Return to Perth down the Indian Ocean drive arriving at approximately 7:30pm.

5) Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk including picnic lunch (TT)Departs Tue
Travel through spectacular south west forests and lush farmland to reach the impressive Valley of the Giants with a walk through the canopy of towering old growth forest. Traveling south through Donnybrook’s famous apple and stone fruit orchards for morning tea, we continue passing the rolling farmlands of the Blackwood River Valley, then on through Western Australia’s old growth forest to climb the 51m tall Diamond Tree bush fire watch tower, before we stop for our included picnic lunch. Next it’s the Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk, a 600-metre long elevated walkway through the canopy reaching up to 40 metres. Next see the Ancient Empire of wide girthed Tingle Trees up to 10 metres in diameter. Visit Denmark before returning to Perth at approximately 10:30pm. Stop for dinner (own expense) at Kodja Place Visitor Centre featuring displays about traditional Noongar history of the area.
