Day 1: Singapore - Sri Lanka (Lunch)

Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be greeted by our local representative and transferred to Kandy.

Lunch at local restaurant.

En route visit Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage: approximately 55 miles from Colombo, off the Colombo - Kandy road is Pinnawala, where an orphanage was started in 1975 to house the abandoned and the wounded elephants. The number of elephants has increased to more than 65 now, including Baby Elephants brought from various parts, as well as some of the more than 25 babies born as a result of the captive breeding programme. The best time to visit is the feeding time from 0930-1000 hrs and 1330-1400 hrs and the bathing time from 1000-1030 hrs and 1400-1430 hrs when all the elephants are taken to the river close by.

Continue to Kandy, visiting a Spice Garden in Mawanella to see the different spices, which Sri Lanka is famous for. You will be introduced to different spices and shown how some of these spices are grown and processed.
Sightseeing in Kandy, including Upper Lake Drive, Market Square, Arts & Crafts Centre, Gem Museum. Kandy the hill capital, venue of the annual Perahera The last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings was finally ceded to the British in 1815. Visit Meera Makkam Mosque.
By the night experience a colour shown where you will be taken to mind blowing Sri Lankan culture extravaganza. get ready for Heavy drumbeat and acrobatic act.

Day 2: Kandy- Nuwara Eliya (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Breakfast at hotel. Proceed to Nuwara Eliya.

Scenic Train the very first steam trains were running in Sri Lanka to bring Tea, the greatest commercial export of the colonial Ceylon, to Colombo. Major Thomas Skinner was instrumental in setting trains up and he decribes in his book "Fifty years in Ceylon" how he had to convince the British colonial government to spend approximately GBP 800,000 to set up the network of railway lines, bridges for trains, today it stands as one of the most scenic journeys to be done on rail in the world.

Visiting Tea Experience, which involves a visit a plantation to observe firsthand the process, starting from the plucking field where it all begins with the picking of 'two leaves and a bud' to the factory where the processing begins. Originally introduced to the island around 1850 by the British, Ceylon Tea is world famous for its high quality and has remained a major contributor to the island's economy for generations. Currently, Sri Lanka is one of largest exporter of tea worldwide.

Sightseeing in Nuwara Eliya. The 'Little England' of Sri lanka, is set against beautiful backdrops of mountains, valleys, waterfalls and Tea plantations. It is supposed tobe one of the coolest places in the island, but it is really like an English spring day, although the temperature does drop at night. All around Nuwara Eliya you will see evidence of the british influence, houses like country cottages or Queen Ann style mansions. The Victoria Park, in the middle of the town, is lovely place for a stroll or a picnic and is alos good for birding as you get some rare birds in this Park. VisitLake Gregory is one of the significant tourist attractions in Nuwara Eliya. With recent up liftmen in Nuwara Eliya area many recreation facilities introduced around the Gregory lake area. You can buy a ticket and visit the Lake Park and enjoy your evening by the lake.

Day 3: Nuwara Eliya - Beruwela (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
This morning after breakfast, check out and proceed to Colombo.

En-route stop at Kitulgala, the place where the famous 'Bridge On the River Kwai' film was made. En route to witness the sensuous St. Claris and divine Devon Waterfalls. The journey is a truly remarkable. You are offered a Scenic drive and totally different landscape from the City of Nuwara Eliya.

Day 4: Beruwela - Galle - Beruwela (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
After breakfast, join the 'Whale & Dolphin Watching Tour'. Mirissa is the best place to start your whale and dolphin watching tour in Sri Lanka. In warm Indian Ocean, you can see Blue Whales, Bryde's whales, Sperm whales, Fin whales, sometimes Killer whales, and Common dolphins, Bittlenose dolphins, Spinner dolphins, Risso's dolphins and Striped dolphins. Sometimes you can see turtles and various fish species. Return to hotel.

Afternoon visit Ketchimalai Mosque - High on a rock in Beruwela, tall, white, towering, surrounded by coconut fronds, stands Ketchimalai Mosque. The ancient historic site has been a place of reflection and prayer for centuries, calling unto it every year, scores of pilgrims from all over island. As Muslims commence the holy month of Ramadan, the Nation took a trip to the mosque, to learn more of its history and discover intimately, the awe-inspiring beauty of the religious site.

Continue to Galle - Sri Lanka's most historically interesting town . It was a major port until about 100 years, but today still handles shipping and sailing boats in the natural harbout. Stroll around the lighthouse and harbouru or visit the old town where you can see the traditional lace makers and wood carvers and purchase some the finest souvenirs. Visit The Dutch Fort - The South Coast's major city , whose oldest landmark is the massive Portuguese and Dutch Fort which is a 'World Heritage Site' in which the central city is contained. But the city may be much older. Soem scholars belive it to be the 'Tarshih' of the Old Testament, to which king Solomon sent his merchant vessels and to which Jonah fled from the Lord.

Day 5: Beruwela - Colombo (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
Breakfast at hotel. Proceed to Colombo.

Afternoon Suba Gaman Tuk Tuk's for a English Speaking Guided Tour to visit Jamil Alfar Masjid . Jamiul Alfar Masjid is one of kind of architectural monument in the country, it has enriched in itself the Islamic Culture along with its majestic colonial English looking structural detailing with its vibrant colour of red with lts close proximity to the Colombo Ports forms a scenic yet a very spiritual environment. Also showing it's solidarity with standing the test of time, these features attract many businessman and tourists as well to this Masjid. Thereafter, visit the oldest protestant church is Sri lanka 'Wolvendaal Church'. Continue drving through the busy Pettah Markets to visit 'The Old Town Hall' - which is now a Museum. After enjoying a refreshing 'King Coconut' make s stop at the Central Bank Currency Museum'The Centre Point". Hidden with in the city is the actual 'Prison Cell' of the last king of Sri lanka King Sri Vickrama Rajasingha. Your last stop is 'Galle Buck Lighthouse' which is one of Colombo's most picturesque locations.

While the natural beauty of the nearby beaches and scenery is breathtaking, the vibrant and rich history of the past is the main attraction for many tourist. From colonial building and architecture to museums, art galleries, and cultural festivals - yu will have plenty to keep you occupied and interested. While the greater Colombo town is a bustling areathat serves as the South's busiest commercial district, the Fort one of the country's most beautiful historical site. Within it, you can find an array of churches, museums, galleries and boutique shops. Start shopping in Colombo, visit ODEL, House of Fashion, Arcade Independence Square, Race Course, Beverly Street and visit bargain market in Colombo Pettah. Dinner at local restaurant and transfer to hotel.
